Skills for Supporting Digitalisation

Transferring Austrian know-how, developing the Digi Hub team and promoting digitalisation services in South Bohemia.

The project presented foreign partners' good practice through two seminars for South Bohemian SMEs and consultations exchanging know-how between the partner organisations.

Outputs included a Czech and English Digi Hub brochure, a promotional video about regional digitalisation activities, a press release on digitalisation and Austrian cooperation opportunities, and an online campaign concept. Regional companies also shared digitalisation experience with SMEs and Austrian partners.

Background

JVTP and TC Písek were selected under the European Commission's “Smart Factories in new EU Member States” initiative as suitable organisations to establish a digital innovation hub: a network able to support gradual digitalisation across society.

As digital hubs already existed elsewhere in the EU, the applicants sought experience from an Austrian partner with an established concept. Regional digitalisation activities needed mapping, connection and coordination, together with effective promotion and awareness.

Objectives

  • Transfer Austrian know-how to the founders developing the South Bohemian Digi Hub's operating strategy.
  • Train the Digi Hub team.
  • Promote the emerging hub and its activities.

Promotion targeted organisations with digitalisation expertise and technologies, and businesses and local authorities seeking technologies and guidance.
