TASTE – Cross-border Agrifood Transformation

Partners in Upper Austria, South Bohemia and Vysočina use innovation and research to strengthen sustainability and resilience in the cross-border agri-food sector.

TASTE (Technological Adaptation for Sustainable Transformation of the Agri-Food Ecosystem in the Upper Austrian–South Bohemian–Vysočina Border Region) has officially launched its field activities. Funded by Interreg VI-A Austria–Czechia, it brings together partners from three neighbouring regions to improve sustainability and resilience in the cross-border agri-food sector through innovation and scientific research.

The objective is to strengthen climate resilience throughout the soybean and potato value chains in the border area of Upper Austria, South Bohemia and Vysočina.

The project runs from April 2025 to March 2028 with a total budget of around EUR 800,000. Upper Austria's innovation agency Business Upper Austria leads the partnership, working with the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at the University of South Bohemia, the Potato Research Institute in Havlíčkův Brod, JVTP and FH OÖ Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH.
